I wrote this song back in May and sent it to a friend. I gave them the instruction not to send it to anyone because it was “just a demo”. They managed not to send it; but anytime anyone came to their house, they made sure that they didn’t leave without hearing “Turn My World”. Unbeknownst to me the track was becoming a big hit in the “secret home listening” scene. That was until a gig I did the other day…people had been expecting me to perform it, but it wasn’t on the list because I thought nobody had heard of it. This is why I decided it was time to unleash “Turn My World”, even at this early-demo stage.

Please make sure you listen to it in the highest quality available.

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know in the comments.

p.s. The mailing-list received a free download of this in November ’11. Don’t miss out on future freebies by signing up here: www.lindaharrisonmusic.com/sign-up

Would never expect a line-up like that! But what the hell.

Check it out. What do you reckon?

You guys have gotta check this venue out, it’s got some real style about it. Will definitely play there again. Here’s a link to their page, http://www.12barclub.com (the photos really don’t do it justice).

Big up to all of you that came to show your support. Was great to see so many of you there.

Will have a look through the footage, but I don’t think the angle was great unfortunately. The mailing-list will probably find out first if I upload anything – sign up here: www.lindabyharrison.com/sign-up

I was invited to Freeze on Saturday. I was lucky enough to go VIP style and unknowingly bumped into the band I’d gone to see; Everything Everything. I was kicking myself as I realised when I watched them onstage. I think me and my friend were even talking about how we were looking forward to seeing them as we walked past them and they said “Hello”. Feeling like a right idiot now.

I was also lucky enough to be taken backstage to watch The Streets final performance, and boy they killed it!

Here are some photos:

My family were sitting ’round the Christmas table in ’06 when the topic of “funny names” came up. The highlight was a girl that my brother used to race with called “Fanny Chmeller” (pronounced ‘fanny shmeller’). I remember crying for nearly 30 minutes with laughter as he told us about how the German team couldn’t understand what was so funny every time Fanny’s name was announced on the tannoy. Of course, they say it backwards when they announce your name “Shmeller, Fanny” is just as good.

Check this video. I defy you not to laugh.
