I got a message earlier on today from an incredible fan out in Germany who happened to buy one of the first T-shirts from the shop (http://www.lindaharrisonmusic.com/shop.html). He had received the item and surprised me today by sending over some photos of him opening the package.

I may not be making a lot of money, but the art and the ever-growing list of fans friends definitely makes it rewarding. I’d never give up.

——-

For those of you that haven’t ordered yet, and might not be able to see exactly what’s going on in the photos…

The packaging =

  • custom HeartStar tag with images of the T-shirt purchased inside the heart
  • a HARRISON tag with washing instructions
  • tag is attached with HARRISON ribbon
  • packed into a sheer black fabric envelope which Mrs HARRISON helped manufacture
  • envelope is sealed with a note from me
  • wrapped in white paper

Went to Dans Le Noir last night. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a restaurant in total darkness.

Total darkness = you can’t see the person opposite, you can’t see the food in front of you, you have to feel around for your knife and fork, and you’re never quite sure if you’ve eaten everything on your plate unless you lick it clean.

We ended up playing a game with the couple beside us – asking them to guess what we looked like. Games and jokes aside, it’s amazing how you build a picture of somebodys hair, build and colour based on their voice and the topics they discuss.

Having never experienced that level of darkness, it was quite unnerving at first. You are led to your seat by a blind person and he explains where everything is on the table. You choose either meat, fishvegetarian or special as your menu, but aren’t told what it consists of; my friend ended up with shark, Ox tongue and ox cheek among other odd meats/vegetables.

It is one of those things that you need to do…even if it’s just once. They have them in Paris, New York, Barcelona and London – check their website for more info: http://www.danslenoir.com/

This is one of the first T-shirts that got sent off to Germany.

Apparently the iPad has become a fashion statement…to be fair, if I could afford one I’d be showing it off.

Definitely better than iPod fashion:

I don’t reckon the world just went bang. Do you?

Portobello Shopping

Evryone Gig

Supertamp Concert

Nine months of severe grafting called for a little time to step back and enjoy.

Yesturday I marveled in the delights of Portobello market in London. The previous day, I was entertained by the tones of Evryone. The night before that I got the chance to watch one of my biggest influences: Supertramp.

In the words of Crystal Fighters I LAV LONDON.
