Now…I bet when you think “Linda Harrison”, you don’t think “Eurovision Song Contest”. I bet even me putting those two titles in the same sentence has lost be some credibility already. BUT this year the United Kingdom are trying very hard to do better at this competition and they asked me to audition, so I thought “Ok, what’s there to lose? Maybe I could bring a bit of edge to the competition, maybe we can bring some credibility back to it…but then again maybe not”. I sent in a video, and I’ve got through to the live auditions in London! So I get to go to Westbourne Studios in London (all expenses paid) and sing two songs in front of the judges. I only had 15 mins to decide the songs but I chose “I Want it All” – Queen, “Break-Up” – Linda Harrison (ME!) and they let me put the third one in “Stop & Stare” – One Republic. Now, the last time I had to audition was for X-factor in 2006, and that show was a complete set-up, but is fantastic to watch…will this be a set-up just like that? I’m so excited to go to London, Westbourne Studios are near Portobello Road so I definately think some shopping is in order. I AM SO EXCITED, this is going to be SO much fun! But I feel like they’re probably looking for someone a bit different to me, I think they’ll be looking for someone more Christina Aguilera-esque or the next Mariah Carey. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
